This InstaGrant proposes to improve the school and the planet by refreshing their waste reduction and recycling program. They will update their current recycling stations in the cafeteria and throughout the school to empower students to sort their waste and do their part in helping to make the earth a healthier and safe environment. The program will entail adding new signage to the cafeteria sorting system that includes recycling, composting and trash bins. The Greenburgh Nature Center has agreed to partner with the district to educate everyone, including students, faculty, custodians, cafeteria aides and kitchen staff.
