About Chappaqua School Foundation
How CSF Works
The Chappaqua School Foundation (CSF) was established in 1993 to fund innovative projects and programs for K-12 that fall outside the scope of the Chappaqua Central School District (CCSD) budget. These initiatives represent grants written by teachers, administrators, parents and students that will have a meaningful impact on teaching and learning. CSF is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt foundation run by a Board of Directors composed of community members that works closely with CCSD administrators and educators. To date, CSF has raised $4 million and funded over 350 grants and projects.
Community Impact
Over 85% of the District budget is allocated to critical fixed costs, which increase annually. Even in high-tax districts, little remains to support the discretionary spending needed to fund innovative initiatives. CSF and the School District collaborate to identify grants that address significant strategic priorities. Supporting these programs is critical to ensuring that our schools continue to provide students with the unparalleled education for which our schools are renowned, ultimately contributing to stabilizing our community’s property values.

The strength of CSF is directly related to the generosity of our community. Each year, we raise funds by joining together with our active, thriving community through appeals and an array of fun events including our Food Truck Night, Moms’ Night Out, Harlem Wizards games, and our Spring Benefit.
